In the Midst of Uncertainty

A three-part series exploring how we build capacity, stay present, and meet the complexity of this time together

There is a growing sense of uncertainty in the world right now that many of us can feel, even if we are not always naming it directly. We may find ourselves more easily overwhelmed, pulled into cycles of worry or urgency, or quietly shutting down in ways that are harder to notice.

In times like these, it can be hard to stay present with what is happening without becoming overwhelmed or losing contact with ourselves, and so I have designed this three-part series as a space to slow down together and explore what it means to build the capacity to stay in presence.

The shape of our time together

Through a combination of teaching, guided practice, and shared reflection, we will work with three core areas:

Finding ground
Learning how to orient to support, reconnect with the body, and anchor in present-moment experience.

Building capacity
Understanding how our nervous system responds to stress, and developing practical ways to work with activation and overwhelm through practices like titration, pendulation, and tracking.

Holding the whole
Exploring how we can remain open to both the beauty and the difficulty of life, staying engaged without collapsing or turning away.

What you can expect

This is not a space for perfect answers or personal optimization; it is a space to practice, to notice what is happening, and to hear how others are navigating similar terrain.

Each session will include:

  • short teaching segments
  • guided embodied mindfulness practices
  • reflective writing prompts
  • small group sharing and large group conversation

This series may be supportive for those who are feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or quietly disoriented, as well as for those who simply want to deepen their capacity to stay present and engaged in their lives.

You don’t need to have prior experience with meditation or somatic work. What matters most is a willingness to show up, to be curious about your own experience, and to be in a shared space of reflection and practice.
