Season of the Witch: A Journey Through the Dark Season

A two-month initiation into the mystery, magic, and medicine of the year’s deepest night.

An Invitation to Step into the Dark

Between Halloween and the Winter Solstice, the light recedes, the days grow quiet, and the old year begins to die back.

This is a threshold season. A time to gather close to the fire, honour the dead, listen to dreams, and seek wisdom in the darkness. As the natural world withdraws into stillness, we are invited to tend the mysteries that can not be accessed in the bright seasons of the year.

Season of the Witch is a two-month immersion into the wisdom of the dark season. Together, we will explore ritual, dreamwork, ancestral connection, divination, and embodied practice as a way of consciously meeting this ancient passage. This is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and discover what is asking to be released, reclaimed, or renewed as you move toward the longest night of the year.

What We’ll Explore

Through a series of pre-recorded video lessons + four live 90-minute workshops, we’ll walk together through the gates of the Dark Season, weaving somatic practice, mythic storytelling, ritual, and plant medicine into a journey of descent and renewal. Each live session includes embodied grounding, archetypal & seasonal teachings, a guided ritual, and space for reflection and integration.

🌗 Workshop 1: The Descent: Thresholds of Samhain

We begin our journey at the threshold of Samhain, guided by Dhumavati, the smoky widow goddess who teaches the wisdom of endings. Through ritual fire and embodied release, we’ll honour what is dying back and practice letting go with grace. This is a time to make peace with impermanence and open to the fertile emptiness of the dark.
Plant Allies: Reishi & Mugwort

🌒 Workshop 2: The Veil Between Worlds: Ancestral Connection

With Hekate as our guide at the crossroads, we’ll honour the thinning veils and the voices of those who came before. Together we’ll create ancestor altars, learn the art of offering, and invite the blessing current of lineage and belonging to move through us.
Plant Allies: Elder & Motherwort

🌓 Workshop 3: The Dreaming Body: Symbol, Night & Divination

Here we meet Baba Yaga, the wild crone of the deep forest, keeper of bone wisdom and fierce initiation. We’ll explore dreamwork and divination as ways of seeing in the dark, learning to listen to the intuitive language of shadow, symbol, and night.
Plant Allies: Mugwort & Passionflower

🌒Workshop 4: The Return of Light: Solstice Ritual of Death & Rebirth

At the turning of the Winter Solstice, we gather to honour both the darkness and the dawn. In a candlelit ritual of reflection and renewal, we’ll name our griefs and gratitudes, release what is complete, and call the light back into our hearts as a blessing for the new solar year.
Plant Allies: Evergreen & Reishi

Who Is This For?

This is not a witchcraft 101 course, meaning I won’t be teaching you how to be a witch, because I don’t believe anyone can teach that. The archetype of the witch already lives within you. My role is not to define it for you, but to help you listen for how it wants to express itself through your life, your body, and your relationship with the world around you.

This circle is for those who feel called to walk toward winter’s threshold with awareness, seekers, and soulful humans who want to live in rhythm with the seasons and deepen their relationship to mystery.

You don’t need prior experience with witchcraft, divination or plant medicine, only a willingness to slow down, listen deeply, and explore your own way of working with magic and meaning.

Together we’ll explore questions such as:

  • Who is the witch, and what is my relationship to this archetype?
  • How do the rhythms of the seasons express themselves in my life?
  • What is my relationship with the land upon which I live?
  • How can I nourish my intuition and trust my inner knowing?
  • Who are my other-than-human allies, and how can I strengthen those bonds?
  • What kind of magic do I work most naturally, and how can I empower it for myself?

If you’re craving rhythm, ritual, and rest… if you feel something stirring in the darkness asking for your attention… this gathering is for you.

Who Am I?

My name is Natalie, and I identify as a teacher, a storyteller, and a wisdom seeker.

For more than two decades, I’ve guided circles rooted in seasonal wisdom, embodied mindfulness, and animist ritual. My work weaves the body, the mythic imagination, and the natural world into a path of embodied spirituality.

The Season of the Witch is a love letter to the part of us that is drawn to the mystery, the part that feels most alive under dark skies. That knows endings are also beginnings.

Walk with me through the dark and let us remember that the light we seek is born there.
