A Practice of Return
The 13 Moons Soma Circle is a yearlong, embodied journey guided by the lunar cycle.
We gather once each month at the new moon to pause, listen, and reorient. Through somatic practice, seasonal astrology, ritual, and creative reflection, this circle offers a steady and relational way of working with time, change, and lived experience.
The work unfolds over the course of a year, inviting insight, practice, and relationship to deepen through continuity and presence.
What Makes This Circle Unique? Through these workshops, you’ll experience an artful weaving of:
Embodied mindfulness practices that return you to sensation, breath, and the lived intelligence of the body.
Seasonal astrology exploring the archetypal themes of each lunar cycle as we move through the year.
Plant Medicine teachings that invite attunement to plants as companions and teachers.
Animist ritual & expressive arts practices that honour the relationship with the living world.
Somatic Inquiry practices that deepen self-trust by listening to the body’s responses and rhythms.
Mythic Imagination story, symbol, and archetype as ways of making meaning from lived experience.
Who Is This Program For?
This circle is for those who are drawn to depth, rhythm, and embodied ways of knowing and it tends to resonate with people who already have some familiarity with mindfulness, astrology, ritual, or somatic practice, and who are sensing the need for integration rather than more information.
The 13 Moons Soma Circle may be a good fit if you:
• Value lived experience over quick insights or spiritual shortcuts
• Approach astrology as a symbolic and archetypal language
• Long for ritual that is grounded, personal, and responsive to real life
• Appreciate trauma-informed, consent-based, and relationally aware spaces
• Are willing to move slowly and stay with questions over time
Why Soma?
The word soma carries several intertwined meanings, each central to this circle.
In ancient Greek, soma refers to the physical body, the lived, sensing body experienced from the inside. It is the root of the word somatic, pointing to a way of knowing grounded in sensation rather than abstraction.
In the Vedic tradition, Soma is also a name for the Moon, a primordial deity associated with rhythm, nourishment, and renewal, and revered as the Master of the Plants.
In astrology, the Moon speaks to the body, instinct, memory, and the unconscious. As the closest celestial body to the Earth, it reflects our most intimate rhythms and our capacity to feel and respond to life.
The 13 Moons Soma Circle lives at the meeting place of these meanings, body and cosmos, sensation and symbol, cultivating soma not as an idea, but as a lived relationship.
Gathering at the Dark of the Moon
Each month, we gather under the new moon for a two-hour live workshop. These sessions are designed as spacious, lightly structured containers rather than content-dense classes.
A typical gathering weaves together somatic practice, seasonal astrology, ritual, and creative reflection. You may be invited to move, to rest, to listen, to write, or simply to witness. Participation is always invitational, and there is no expectation to share personal material unless it feels true for you.
The tone of these gatherings is grounded and relational. We move slowly, allowing time for practices to land in the body rather than rushing toward insight. The new moon offers a natural threshold — a pause in the lunar cycle — and our work reflects that quiet, inward-turning quality.
Over time, these monthly rhythms create a sense of continuity and trust. Not through intensity, but through return. Not through accumulation, but through attention.

Join the 13 Moons Circle
A yearlong practice. A steady rhythm. A place to return.
This circle is offered once per year and is intentionally limited in size to preserve intimacy, continuity, and relational depth. Joining the circle is a commitment to returning to yourself, to practice, and to a shared field that unfolds slowly over time. There is no requirement to attend every session live, no expectation to keep up, and no pressure to engage beyond what feels sustainable and true. This container values discernment as much as devotion.
Your Guide. Who Am I?
My name is Natalie, and I created the 13 Moons Soma Circle as a long-form container for embodied, seasonal, and relational practice.
My work draws from decades of engagement with somatic inquiry, mindfulness, astrology, animist ritual, mythology, and plant wisdom. I am interested in how these ways of knowing come alive not as concepts, but as lived experience.
Over the course of our year together, my role is to offer a steady, thoughtful field in which this exploration can unfold. Together, we cultivate a circle shaped by rhythm, presence, and a shared attentiveness to soma — as body, as moon, and as the quiet nourishment that emerges through listening.
Program Details & Frequently Asked Questions
When are the live workshops held?
Live workshops are held once per month near the new moon. Exact dates and times are shared in advance and posted quarterly to support planning while keeping the schedule responsive to the lunar cycle. The first circle will be held at 10am-12pm PST on January 17th 2025.
How much time do I need to devote each month?
The core commitment is one two-hour workshop per month, attended live or viewed as a recording. Optional personal practices or reflections may be offered, but there is no expectation to complete any additional work beyond what feels supportive for you.
What if I can’t attend live?
Live attendance is welcomed but not required. All sessions are recorded and available for lifetime access. Many participants move between live participation and watching recordings, depending on the season of their lives.
Is this program trauma-informed?
Yes. This circle is guided with a trauma-informed, consent-based approach. Practices are invitational rather than prescriptive, and participants are encouraged to listen to their own capacity and pacing. While the circle can be deeply supportive, it is not a substitute for therapy.
Will I be expected to share personal experiences?
No. Sharing is always optional. You are welcome to participate quietly, witness, or engage in ways that feel appropriate to you. This circle values presence and attunement over self-disclosure.
What materials do I need?
You’ll need a computer or tablet to attend live sessions or view recordings. A journal and simple creative supplies (such as coloured pencils, pens, or watercolours) will also be supportive, and you will be invited to gather simple ritual ingredients throughout the year.
Is this suitable if I’m new to somatic or ritual-based work?
Yes, provided you are comfortable with a slower pace and an exploratory, experiential approach. This circle welcomes both newcomers and those with long-standing practices.
